NEW BLUE
July 4, 2016 4:34 pmJust when you think you’ve seen every colour in the rainbow….scientists have invented a new one!
The pigment named YInMn Blue (after the three elements used in it’s production Yttrium, Indium and Manganese) is an extremely bright blue.
Eclipse will be trialing it’s use in plastics once samples are released in order to check it’s usage and applications in a wide range of plastics.
It will undergo a rigorous testing program to ensure it sits well in the colour palette of high specification pigments that Eclipse Colours use to produce the technically superior colour masterbatches that we are known to deliver to all our customers.
Further information about this new pigment can be found in the following University Herald article….New Blue
